Stunning little display dish and collector's piece by renowned French sculptor Max Le Verrier 1891-1973. The porcupine with the crown is the emblem for King Louis XII of France 1498-1515. It is a gilded bronze and measures 4 1/4" in diameter and weighs just under 1/2 lb. Reverse side is stamped with BRONZE with LOUIS XII 1498-1515 and a tiny French Iron Cross as well as the artist mark, M. Le Verrier. In excellent condition. Please email any questions.
